Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• Marvel Comics is talking up some big changes to its "Avengers" title, including a black Captain America (psst! — it's The Falcon) and a woman Thor. Predictably, that last one has made the fanboys irate. [Entertainment Weekly, Time]

• Bryan Cranston will reprise his Tony-winning performance as Lyndon Johnson in an HBO adaptation of the play "All the Way." [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Legendary blues guitarist/singer Johnny Winter died Wednesday in a hotel room in Zurich, Switzerland, after performing there. [USA Today]
