For most of us, our jobs have performance goals that must be accomplished in a timely manner. As much as members of Congress love appearing on talk shows and going to fund raisers, they have work that has to be accomplished.

It requires working at several things at the same time, like the rest of us. The Veterans Care Act has already passed both chambers of Congress, so stop fighting over the amount and get our soldiers the help they need and send it to the president.

Regardless of why they are here, there are women and children on the border who need help. Sort out the whys later, but before you go on vacation give federal employees the means to do their jobs based on the law you wrote.

America has a crumbling road system. Both Democratic and Republican administrations have invested in highways over railroads and mass transit. To keep America moving for rich and poor alike, we need to find permanent solutions to road maintenance.
