The long wait for football fans is over as the Aggies finally get on the field today when fall camp opens at 2:15 p.m. All practices during fall camp are open to the public. What should you look for as the Aggies begin their preparations for the 2014 season? Obviously all eyes will be on quarterback Chuckie Keeton and how he is moving following his recovery from a season-ending knee injury. Running back Joe Hill will receive similar scrutiny. Both seem confident that they are near 100 percent and just need some reps to get their rhythm back. Keeton said just getting back out on the field for him today is big. "My offseason started the day after the BYU game, just getting into rehab and all that," he said. Keeton has said the most important thing for him is to get his timing back with the receivers, so watching how that progresses will be something to follow in camp. The receivers are one of the deepest areas on the team according to coach Matt Wells. It also sounds like Ronald Butler and JoJo Natson, the two receivers who faced charges in the offseason, will be available to play. Wells said the discipline was being handled internally for Butler, who was charged with a DUI and Natson, who was charged with theft. Natson was sentenced Monday to serve two days in jail after pleading guilty to theft charges for diverting school funds intended for a teammate. Natson will report to the Cache County jail Friday and pay a $500 in addition to being placed on probation. Another spot to watch will be the tight end position, where sophomore Landon Horne will be absent for most of the season due to a lower leg injury sustained in the offseason. In his absence, senior Jefferson Court and sophomore Wyatt Houston will compete for the majority of the playing time. Houston finished his freshman season with seven catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns in seven games while Court played in 13 games with one reception. Defensively, the corner spot will get a lot of attention. Look for JC transfers Tyler Floyd and Deshane Hines to step in and compete for playing time. Both have fit in well with the team, according to Rashard Stewart who said summer workouts have gone well for the group."We aren't going to get too cocky and we are going to work hard," he said.
