Letter: Call it 'same-religion-attraction' disorder

I am sure you have been deluged with acerbic letters raising a million reasons why your editorial on the appointment of a non-Mormon to the state Supreme Court be made ("Utah high court needs religious diversity," August 10).

And while you chose to call Utah a theocracy, I'd feel more comfortable using "same-religion-attraction" disorder.

But I think you could have avoided the sanctimonious by alternatively stating, "We'd prefer the next justice to not believe in magic."
