Plans for tonight: Modern take on Peter Pan

• Swedish metal band Pray For Locust performs at The Dawg Pound, 3550 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Blood and Thunder, Turned to Stone. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $5, at 24Tix.

• A staged reading of Robert G. Easton's play "Wendy Darling," a take on "Peter Pan" with the Darling children as adults, will happen at Weller Book Works, Trolley Square, 607 E. 500 South, Salt Lake City. Presented by Around the Globe Theatre Company. The event starts at 8 p.m. Free.
