Plans for tonight: Trampled by Turtles in Deer Valley

• Psychedelic pop-rock band Portugal. The Man and indie dance-rock band Grouplove co-headline at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City. The show starts at 7, and is sold out.

• Alt-country/bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles performs in the St. Regis Big Stars Bright Lights series, at Deer Park Snow Park Outdoor Ampitheater, 2250 Deer Valley Drive, Park City.. Opening acts: Elephant Revival, Amy Helm. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $40 (lawn seating), $55-$75 (reserved), at bigstarsbrightnights.com.

• Hip-hop band Kottonmouth Kings performs at Lo-Fi Cafe, 445 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Broken Silence, The Beginning At Last, $ooLoo. Tickets are $20, at Smith's Tix.



• Grammy-winning guitar icon Peter Frampton performs at Sandy Amphitheater, 9400 S. 1300 East, Sandy. Show starts at 8. Tickets, from $35 to $65, at Smith's Tix.

• Metal band All Hail the Yeti performs at Burt's Tiki Lounge, 726 S. State, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $12, at Smith's Tix.
