The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed fullback Harvey Unga and offensive tackle Cody Booth.

Unga was a seventh-round draft pick by Chicago in the 2010 NFL supplemental draft. The former BYU standout spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve, sat out 2011 and was on Chicago's practice squad for parts of 2012 and 2013. He has not played in a regular-season game.

Booth signed with Chicago as a rookie free agent in May and was waived two weeks ago. He will provide depth in training camp for Jacksonville, which lost right tackle Austin Pasztor for at least a month with a broken right hand.

Holmes joins Bears

A person familiar with the situation says former Super Bowl MVP receiver Santonio Holmes has agreed to a contract with the Chicago Bears.

A first-round draft pick by Pittsburgh in 2006, Holmes was the Super Bowl MVP in his third year. He had his best season statistically the following year in 2009 with 79 catches for 1,248 yards and five touchdowns. But he was traded to the New York Jets the following offseason.
