It appears Utah State's defense will get some much anticipated help in the near future with David Moala, a 6-foot-2, 310-pound defensive tackle, tweeting that he was finally in Logan late Wednesday night. Moala originally signed with Arizona State out of high school and redshirted his first season. He was dismissed for a violation of team standards and landed at Cerritos Community College in Norwalk, Calif., where he has excelled. He had 55 tackles, eight for loss and four quarterback sacks in 2013 and was named to the National Division Northern Conference First Team. JCGridiron.com had him ranked as the No. 15 junior college defensive tackle in 2013 and Moala was rated No. 82 in Rivals.com's JC post-season Top 100 for 2014. Both Kansas State and Louisville recruited him as a JC player. Moala, who has two years of eligibility, will give the Aggies some great depth along the defensive line. The Aggies are led by returning starter senior B.J. Larsen and Jordan Nielsen who has played in 26 games. Junior Travis Seefeldt has had a strong camp too, but Moala is a big strong guy whose JC experience will be welcomed. He'll have to go through the mandatory 5-day acclimatization period before he can participate in full gear.
