Letter: My paper was too late and too light

Published August 25, 2014 5:48 pm
This is an archived article that was published on sltrib.com in 2014, and information in the article may be outdated. It is provided only for personal research purposes and may not be reprinted.

My Sunday paper wasn't delivered until 8:25 AM, but that isn't the issue here.

There is very little printed content on page 1.

Graphics:

There is a 4.5" by 7" picture of a pretty sandpiper.

Your banner with two football coaches takes up 4.5" by 11" of space.

There is an advertisement taking up 3" x 11" of space.

You are surely aware that the print area is only 20" by 11". I can give you the percentages of the printed text, but I don't want to do the math; but it is far too little for this reader.

I am trying to support the Trib in its current struggle to remain a valid news source in the area. But it is becoming very difficult to support when you fail to give us news. Please, let your writers write and put their efforts on the front page.
