Aggies settle down, Tennessee misses a field goal

After a couple of quick strike touchdowns, the Aggies have settled down.

The teams traded four punts to end the first quarter, before Utah State went for a 4th-and-1 conversion.

The Aggies came up short and turned the ball over on downs, with Tennessee moving the ball until shanking a field goal attempt wide right.

A quick three-and-out, a fumble and suddenly, Utah State is on the ropes.

In the team's opener at Tennessee, the stadium is loud and the Vols are fast. Chuckie Keeton has returned for the Aggies, but the team's first drive stalled after a block in the back penalty.

In response, Tennessee marched down the field, gaining 70 yards in only six plays and capped off by an eight yard gallop by running back Pig Howard into the endzone.

On the ensuing kickoff, Utah State returner Kennedy Williams brought the ball out and fumbled. Tennessee quickly capitalized with another 12-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Justin Worley to Brendan Downs.
