Salt Lake City police say they have a plethora of items found, seized or otherwise placed in their custody, and they are giving potential owners a last chance to claim them.

The deadline is Sept. 29. After that, it will be too late; the items will be auctioned off, disposed of or destroyed, SLCPD says.

Items currently in the department's possession include:

Backpacks, purses, bags, clothing, sleeping bags, luggage, bedding, various identity and financial transaction cards, birth certificates, letters, photographs, registration documents, wallets, keys, bicycles and bike parts, skate boards, a scooter, Ipods, DVDs, CDs, desktop and laptop computers, firearms, knives, cellphones and chargers, hand and power tools, money, jewelry, license plates, e-cigarettes, perfume, a camera, a wheelchair, an umbrella, eye and sunglasses, foreign coins, an electric razor, vehicle grill, speakers, a DVD player, a keyboard, memory cards, a laptop bag, a heater, wire, a clock, toys, car and home stereos, a tow rope, toiletries, children's books, a GPS unit, a bell, an MP3 player, auto parts, an electronic dictionary, a pet drink well, a surveillance camera, a Sirius radio and antenna unit, a wig, golf clubs, an air mattress, and a computer network router.

Police say that reasonable attempts have been made to contact the owners by U.S. Mail.

While SLCPD is not issuing an open call for a public review of the items, if anyone believes one of the listed items may be his or her property, they are urged to call the SLCPD Evidence Unit at 801-799-3041.
