Post Falls, Idaho • The state has issued its most serious citation against the skilled nursing portion of Life Care Center of Post Falls.

The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that the state is not releasing details about the circumstances that led to the "immediate jeopardy" citation. They say that should be available in about two weeks. Tom Shanahan, an Idaho health department spokesman, told the Press that no one died or is in danger, but said the citation could result in fines.

Shanahan says the state is working with the facility on a daily basis to fix the problem.

He says this is the third immediate jeopardy citation issued so far this year. The designation is a situation in which immediate corrective action is required because the facility's noncompliance has caused injury, harm or impaired a resident.
