The Big Cottonwood Canyon resort is the first of Utah's 14 ski areas to open this season. Several more are opening later this week after moving up their scheduled openings thanks to a weekend storm that dumped several feet of snow on the Wasatch Range.

Alta and Brian Head -Friday

Park City - Saturday

Powder Mountain - Nov. 21
